Ghampani Lungu Confirm Four New Signings, Including Chipolopolo Centre-Forward Ghampani Lungu

Orlando Pirates Football Club have officially announced the arrival of new players ahead of the new season.

After weeks of speculation and several headlines across the football social media space, the Buccaneers confirmed the signings of Mthetheleli Mthiyane from Stellenbosch FC, Sbangani Zulu from Richards Bay, as well as Bohale Ngwato and Gampani Lungu from Siwelele.

As part of the Mthiyane deal, defender Thabiso Lebitso will move in the opposite direction to join Stellenbosch FC.

Meanwhile, Orlando Pirates have also confirmed the departure of five players following the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.

Bandile Shandu, Sipho Mbule, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Karim Kimvuidi and Deivi Miguel Vieira, also known as Gilberto, will leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts.

The club thanked all five players for their service and wished them well in the next chapters of their careers.
