Nkana Unveil 21-Year-Old Winger Hector Sakala As New Signing

Nkana Football Club has officially announced the signing of 21-year-old winger Hector Sakala on a four-and-a-half-year contract, adding fresh attacking depth to the Kalampa squad ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 transitional season.

Sakala joins the record Zambian Super League champions after spending last season on loan at Mutondo Stars, where he continued his development and gained valuable top-flight experience.

The winger began his football journey at King Soccer Academy before later progressing through Shamuel Academy, where his talent as a wide attacking player began to attract attention.

The move marks a significant step in Sakala’s career as he becomes the latest addition to Nkana’s rebuilding squad, with the club continuing to strengthen ahead of a competitive new campaign.

Speaking after completing his transfer, Sakala expressed excitement and pride at joining one of Zambia’s most historic clubs, highlighting his ambition to contribute to Nkana’s success in the coming seasons.

“Hector is an exciting young winger with pace, directness and the desire to improve. We have followed his progress closely and believe he has the attributes to develop into an important player for Nkana Football Club,” Kapyanga said.
