Denis Makinka Named Kansanshi Dynamos Head Coach On 17-Month Deal
Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has announced a change in leadership within its technical bench following the conclusion of Head Coach Mohamed Fathi’s tenure at the expiry of his contract on 31 May 2026.
The club has expressed gratitude to Coach Fathi for his professionalism, dedication, and contribution during his time with the Fearless Mabanga Boys, noting that he played an important role in a key chapter of the team’s development. The club has wished him success in his future coaching journey.
In a related development, Kansanshi Dynamos have appointed Denis Makinka as the new Head Coach on a 17-month contract, running from 1 August 2026 to 31 December 2027. Makinka, who initially joined the club in November 2025 as Assistant Coach, has been promoted in recognition of his leadership qualities, technical expertise, and strong understanding of the team’s playing philosophy.
The club stated that the appointment reflects its commitment to continuity and long-term stability as it prepares for the upcoming MTN Super League season.
Makinka will be supported by a retained technical team, including Yoram Kasempa (Second Assistant Coach), Buchizya Mfune (Physical Trainer), and Humphrey Kapoma (Goalkeeper Trainer).
Club President Douglas Nyirenda expressed confidence in the new leadership, thanking Coach Fathi while stating that Makinka is well-positioned to build on the foundations already established.
