Mwanza Confident Power Dynamos Will Face Tough Challenge

FC MUZA captain Kelvin Mwanza is confident in his team’s ability to reach the finals of the Absa Cup for the second consecutive year. Despite falling short in the 2023 final, where they lost 2-0 to Forest Rangers, Mwanza believes FC MUZA can repeat their success this year after a convincing 3-0 victory over Chirundu United in the round of 16.

“We are ready for the game,” Mwanza stated. “We have prepared well and we shall give Power Dynamos a good run for their money. This is a cup final, not a league match. We respect Power, but we are equal to the task.”

Coach Mathews Ndhlovu echoed Mwanza’s sentiments, emphasizing the team’s readiness to face Power Dynamos in the quarter-finals. “We respect Power Dynamos; they are a good side and a seasoned team. But at this stage, we are ready to learn and apply our potential. We expect an entertaining game,” Ndhlovu commented.

With no winner in their last three meetings, Saturday’s match between FC MUZA and Power Dynamos promises to be a thrilling encounter. The winner will advance to the semi-finals to face either Indeni or Kabwe Warriors in the Absa Cup 2024. Tickets for the match, scheduled for 14:30, are available at K30 for open wing and K100 for VIP at all Shoprite stores countrywide via CompuTicket.
