The government has assured that all necessary financial resources required for the Chipolopolo players to successfully compete in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament will be provided.
Situmbeeko Musokotwane, the Minister of Finance and National Planning, emphasized that football, along with other sports disciplines, will receive the essential support to ensure effective performance.

Musokotwane expressed that the Chipolopolo’s participation in the Africa Cup is a source of national pride, as football has the power to unite the country. He extended his best wishes to the team as they embark on their journey in the Africa Cup.

The minister made these statements following a meeting with Reuben Kamanga, the General Secretary of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), in Lusaka.

Kamanga, in turn, commended the government for its supportive stance toward the team. He disclosed that Football House will soon initiate discussions with various institutions to materialize the Chipolopolo Bond.
According to Kamanga, the Bond will play a pivotal role in fostering the development of football in Zambia.
