Morocco Announces Star-Studded Squad for Clash Against Zambia
Morocco has announced a star-studded squad for the FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Zambia and the Republic of Congo.
The Atlas Lions will host the Copper Bullets on June 7 in Agadir, promising a thrilling encounter.
Zambia will then host Tanzania at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on June 11 in Ndola.
Morocco’s head coach, Walid Regragui, has named Oussama Targhalline, who plays for Le Havre, as a new addition to the squad.
Regragui has selected only one player from Morocco’s Botola Premier League, AS FAR goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid. The other goalkeepers are Yassine Bounou and Munir El Kajoui.
The defenders include PSG’s Achraf Hakimi, Romain Saiss, Nayef Aguerd, Noussair Mazraoui, Yahya Attiat Allah, Achraf Dari, Abdelkabir Abqar, Mohamed Chibi, and Chadi Riad.
The midfielders are Amir Richardson, Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz, Oussama El Azzouzi, Bilal El Khannouss, Azzedine Ounahi, Sofyan Amrabat, Oussama Targhalline, and Ismael Saibari.
The forwards include Soufiane Rahimi, Amin Adli, Hakim Ziyech, Ayoub El Kaabi, Youssef En-Nesyri, Ilias Ben Sghir, and Ilias Akhomach.
