Micho Talks About 2020/21 Zambia Super League.
Chipolopolo coach Milutin Micho said 2020/21 Zambia Super League extremely competitive.
Has further described the League which will likely to start this weekend to be unpredictable
. In his review of the both MTN Super League and the FAZ/EDEN University National Division One league ,Mr Micho said despite being played in the covid19 pandemic ,the league is still interesting to the supporters.
“I can tell you that our league is one of the top five most competitive leagues (in Africa) where one win puts you in contention to play in Africa, one loss puts you to fight for relegation and that unpredictability and trickiness of the competition has happened this season,” Micho said.“We that follow and love Zambian football are very happy with the season behind us and happy for the season ahead of us having in mind that the number of foreign places will reduce to five per team,” said Micho when referring to the recently approved foreign quota by the FAZ Council.
“This (the foreign quota system) will give a chances to young Zambian players and the national team will benefit from it,” he added.
Sredojevic also congratulated ZESCO United for winning their ninth league crown, and wished teams fighting for relegation to put in their best.“Congratulations ZESCO for winning the league and Zanaco for qualifying to the CAF Champions League.
We are (also) looking forward to seeing the two teams that will play CAF Confederation Cup next season,” he said.“We are also wishing that the fight for relegation is concluded in the best possible way.
Let the best team stay and those that have not done well go back to the drawing board and fight for their comeback.”Kitwe United, Lumwana Radiants and NAPSA Stars have been relegated while the fourth team will be confirmed after the Week 34 fixtures on Sunday.“Congratulations to Konkola Blades, Kansanshi Dynamos and Kafue Celtics (for qualifying to the MTN Super League).
We have seen Chambishi and Mufulira Wanderers fighting for fourth place and this just shows that the Zambian league is extremely competitive and a good sign that our football will benefit from competition because this will give birth to quality,” the Serb concluded.
