Kundananji’s Decision Marks a Significant Shift
Former Copper Queens Coach Enala Simbeya believes that Rachael Kundananji’s record move to Bay FC in the United States of America will revolutionize women’s football in Zambia.
Simbeya highlighted the abundance of talented players in Zambia whose potential remains untapped due to a lack of financial sponsorship.
She urged various investors to sponsor the development of women’s football in Zambia, emphasizing that such support would provide players with the opportunity to compete at the highest level and benefit from the sport’s vast rewards.
Meanwhile, Kapelwa Saili, a former player turned coach, echoed Simbeya’s sentiments, describing Kundananji’s move as a significant milestone that elevates both the player’s career and the Copper Queens brand.
Saili, who coached Kundananji during her time with the national team in 2018, expressed immense pride in her achievement, stating that it has not only brought glory to the Copper Queens but also to the entire nation of Zambia.
