Kundananji scores eighth league goal in Madrid CFF win.

Rachel Kundananji, the forward for the Copper Queens, netted the opening goal as Madrid CFF secured a convincing 2-0 victory over Villarreal CF in the 12th round of the Spanish Liga F.

From the outset, Madrid CFF dictated the flow of the game and posed a threat in the thirteenth minute, with Young Ju Lee coming close to scoring.
Kundananji then broke the deadlock, seizing a loose ball in the box and effortlessly slotting it home in the 21st minute.

The lead was further extended as Cris Librán doubled Madrid’s advantage with a skillful finish, capitalizing on an assist from Luany.
Throughout the second half, Madrid maintained their dominance, and Kundananji nearly found the net just after the hour mark, only to be denied by a spectacular leg save from Carmen Carbonell.

Securing the win, the Madrid-based team now occupies the 3rd position with 27 points as they head into the break. Kundananji, with eight league goals, shares the top scorer position with FC Barcelona’s Caroline Hansen.

Madrid CFF will resume action in January, facing Real Madrid in a highly anticipated derby match.
