Kundananji poised to miss crucial match against Morocco
Striker Racheal Kundananji may face a recovery period exceeding six weeks due to a knee injury sustained during a match. Kundananji was carried off the field during the Copper Queens’ 3-3 draw against Ghana at home.
Following the game at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, the Bay FC forward was seen with a strapped knee. Despite her injury, the 23-year-old striker managed to score in Zambia’s 1-0 win over Ghana in the first leg.
Unfortunately, Kundananji is expected to be absent for Zambia’s upcoming match against Morocco in the final round of the Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic qualifier.
The former Indeni Roses player recently made a transfer from Spanish club CFF Madrid to American club Bay FC, setting a new record for the transfer fee.
