Kundananji and Grace Chanda Arrive Early for Morocco Showdown
Forward Racheal Kundananji, currently based in the USA, has arrived in the country to join the Zambian national team for Friday’s Paris 2024 Olympics qualifier against Morocco. Similarly, Grace Chanda, based in Spain, has also arrived from her base.
Both players are expected to participate in Wednesday’s training session at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Zambia’s coach, Bruce Mwape, is expected to announce the final squad tomorrow.
The match against Morocco marks the beginning of the final round of qualifiers for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The return leg will take place next week in Casablanca.
The winner of this qualifier will join either Nigeria or South Africa as Africa’s representatives in France. If the Copper Queens qualify, they will make a return to the Olympics, having featured in the Tokyo games.
