Konkola Blades Secure Services of Five New Players

Chililabombwe-based team Konkola Blades has officially secured the services of five new players in preparation for the upcoming second half of the season.
Under the guidance of coach Beston Chambeshi, the team has strategically bolstered its lineup for the return of the MTN Super League.

The notable additions to the squad comprise Tanzanian central defender Abdulhim Halumoud Mohamed, former Forest Rangers goalkeeper Allan Chibwe, and midfielder Lassa Kiala, formerly of Trident Football Club, all signing on for six months.
Additionally, the team welcomes former Power Dynamos forward Biston Banda, committing to a one-year contract, and secures defensive midfielder Moses Mawelela from Kings Academy on a three-year deal.

In an official statement, Konkola Blades Football Club (KBFC) expressed their intent to enhance team performance during the remainder of the 2023/2024 Zambia Super League Season through these strategic acquisitions.

Simultaneously, the club has bid farewell to eight players through various arrangements. Kunda Kabila, Chewe Mukuka, Daniel Sikanyika, and David Sinyiza have mutually parted ways with the club.
Simon Mulenga has been recalled by his parent club, Trident FC. Victor Kasokola and John Mulalang’abo are on loan to Jumulo Football Club until the season’s end, while George Mutanda’s contract was not renewed.
