Chipolopolo Striker Kennedy Musonda Confident in Zambia’s AFCON Aspirations
In an exclusive interview with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Media, Kennedy Musonda, a vital striker for Chipolopolo, has expressed unwavering confidence in Zambia’s potential success at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). Musonda emphasized that the key to triumph goes beyond individual talent, stressing the significance of collective desire and teamwork.
“We also have big players in the squad, but the most important thing is our desire, passion, and working together as a team,” Musonda stated.
Currently playing for Young Africans Sports Club in the Tanzanian Premier League, Musonda expressed his excitement about being included in the final Chipolopolo Squad and pledged to give his best for his country.
“It was nerve-wracking waiting to see if I would be picked, and it is an honor for me to represent my country at such a level,” he added.
Musonda also called for continued fan support, highlighting its positive impact on the team’s confidence and morale. The Chipolopolo squad has left for Jeddah aboard Emirates Airlines for their international camp in Saudi Arabia ahead of AFCON, which commences on January 13th.
