Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba Introduced to Al Nasr Benghazi Supporters
Chipolopolo midfielder Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba was introduced to his new fan base in Libya on the heels of his move from ZESCO United.
Kampamba, 27, finalized a significant transfer to Libyan side Al Nasr Benghazi, sealing a permanent deal and leaving ZESCO United as the top scorer with 7 goals in the current campaign.
In a presentation alongside other newcomers for the club, Mubanga showcased himself to the Nasarawi people in a positive festive atmosphere. The event was graced by various dignitaries, including Major General Rakan “Khalid Khalifa Haftar,” team boss Osama Al-Darsi, and the president and board members of Al-Nasr Club.
Beginning his stint with Zesco United in the 2020/2021 season, Mubanga played a pivotal role in securing their 9th league title. Over three and a half seasons at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, he netted 21 goals.
Internationally, the former Nkana and Power Dynamos midfielder represented the Chipolopolo Boys at the CAF 2023 African Cup of Nations, contributing from the bench in all three group matches in Ivory Coast. Notably, he clinched the Cosafa Cup twice (2022 & 2023) and earned the Player of the Tournament title at the 2022 edition.
