Kangwa, Sakala, and Banda Shine in European Football Competitions

Chipolopolo midfielder Klings Kangwa is poised to make his debut for Hapoel Be’er Sheva this evening in a match against Czech club Mladá Boleslav.

Kangwa recently signed a four-year contract with Be’er Sheva, joining from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade. This marks his second stint with the Israeli club, having previously spent the 2017/18 season with their youth team, where he netted 9 goals.

Kangwa is no stranger to top-tier European competitions, with experience in both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

In tonight’s clash, Kangwa will go head-to-head with his Chipolopolo teammate Benson Sakala, who currently plays for Mladá Boleslav.

Hapoel Be’er Sheva secured their spot in the third round by defeating Bulgarian side Cherno More 2-1 on aggregate. The winner of this tie will advance to face either Paksi FC of Hungary or FK Mornar of Montenegro in the playoff round.

The match between Mladá Boleslav and Hapoel Be’er Sheva will take place at the Lokotrans Arena, which has a capacity of 5,000. Kickoff is scheduled for 18:00.

Meanwhile, in the UEFA Europa League, Emmanuel Banda and his HNK Rijeka teammates will host Swedish side Elfsborg.

If Banda, formerly of Nchanga Rangers, and his team successfully overcome Elfsborg, they will face the winner between Molde and Cercle Brugge in the next round.
