Former Chipolopolo captain Kabaso Chongo has made a significant move to Zambia Super League outfit, Kabwe Warriors.

Chongo recently ended his tenure with DR Congo powerhouse TP Mazembe after a decade-long association with the club.

The seasoned defender has inked a two-year contract with the esteemed Kabwe Warriors.

In an official statement, Kabwe Warriors Football Club expressed their delight in securing the services of Zambian International Kabaso Chongo on a permanent basis for the next two years.

Chongo’s transition to the People’s Team marks a new chapter in his career, with the contract extending until December 2025, following his tenure at TP Mazembe.

The club warmly welcomed Chongo to the Blue Family, acknowledging his impressive achievements during his time at Mazembe.

During his illustrious stint at Mazembe, Chongo clinched eight prestigious trophies, including the Champions League triumph in 2015, along with two CAF Confederation Cup titles (2016 and 2017), and five Congolese championship titles.
