Introduction of VAR Imminent in Zambia’s Premier League

The Project Lead for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) initiative, DIRK SCHLEMM

ER, expressed admiration for Zambia’s dedication to implementing VAR in the Zambian Premier League. During the conclusion of the VAR Consultative workshop in Lusaka, SCHLEMMER emphasized that this system will elevate the quality of the game in Zambia.

He pointed out that VAR not only enhances the game but also fosters discipline and professionalism among footballers, as they are aware that all their actions are under scrutiny.

On another note, JANNY SIKAZWE, the VAR Project Leader for Zambia, extended gratitude to stakeholders for their efforts in bringing the VAR project to fruition in Zambia.

Furthermore, ANDREW KAMANGA, the President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), affirmed that Zambian football is progressing in the right direction with the introduction of new systems.
