Green Eagles and Namazaba part ways
Green Eagles, a team in the Zambian Super League, have announced the departure of head coach Alex Namazaba and his assistant Ronald Mukosha.
The decision follows a series of disappointing results, with the team only managing to secure two points out of a possible 15 in their last five games.
The club confirmed the news in a press statement released by Faith Kaira, the Club Media Officer.
The statement expressed the club’s gratitude to Namazaba and Mukosha for their dedication and service to the team. It highlighted their contributions and efforts to improve the team’s performance, despite the recent challenges.
The club also acknowledged the difficult decision to part ways with the coaching staff but emphasized the need for change to achieve better results.
Green Eagles, sponsored by the Zambia National Service, are now tasked with finding a new coaching team to lead the team forward.
The club stated that they are already in the process of identifying suitable candidates who can bring fresh ideas and strategies to improve the team’s performance in the remaining games of the season.
The departure of Namazaba and Mukosha comes at a crucial time for Green Eagles, as they currently sit in 7th place on the league table with 34 points from 25 games.
With several important matches ahead, including clashes with top teams in the league, the club is keen to appoint a new coaching team quickly to ensure a smooth transition and to give the team the best possible chance of finishing the season on a high note.
