Grace Chanda and Prisca Chilufya Give Back to Red Arrows Women’s Football Club
Zambian football stars Grace Chanda and Prisca Chilufya have extended their gratitude to their former club, Red Arrows Women’s Football Club, by donating vital sports equipment in a heartfelt gesture. The duo credited the club for shaping their successful careers and expressed their appreciation through this generous act.
In a special ceremony, Grace Chanda presented her Orlando Pride Championship Medal—earned during her victorious campaign in the USA’s National Women’s Soccer League last month—to Zambia Air Force (ZAF) Commander, Lt. Gen. Oscar Nyoni. This was in recognition of ZAF’s unwavering support for the Red Arrows Women’s Football Club and its players.
Speaking on behalf of both herself and Chilufya, Chanda said, “We are grateful for the incredible support ZAF and its Command have given us to reach where we are today. This donation is just a token of our appreciation and a way to encourage others in the team to work hard and achieve even greater things.”
The donated items included:
- 20 agility hurdles
- 30 footballs
- 60 plate cones
- 40 bibs
- Whistles
- 20 replica jerseys
Brig. Gen. Geoffrey Hambulo, Zambia Air Force Chief of Training, received the donation on behalf of the ZAF Commander. He commended the players for their thoughtful contribution, emphasizing its importance in motivating young athletes and strengthening grassroots football development.
Chanda and Chilufya’s gesture serves as a powerful reminder of the impact of giving back, inspiring the next generation of players to dream big and aim high in their football journeys.
