Football Association of Zambia Encourages U17 Women’s National Team Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has issued a rallying call to the U17 Women’s National Team, urging them to maintain focus as they approach the return leg of the 2024 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in Tanzania.

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga emphasized the importance of not becoming complacent despite the team’s impressive performance in the previous match, where they secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Tanzania at Nkoloma Stadium.

Kamanga stressed that the FIFA World Cup should serve as a source of motivation for the players, urging them to continue striving for excellence.

He pointed out that the girls can draw inspiration from their senior counterparts, who recently represented Zambia at the World Cup in New Zealand.

Furthermore, Kamanga reiterated the government’s commitment to nurturing young talent, highlighting the significance of the U17 team’s performance in laying a strong foundation for the national teams.
