Heading the FIFA team is Gelson Fernandes, Deputy Chief Member Associations Officer, accompanied by Ahmed Harraz, FIFA’s Senior Member Associations’ Governance Manager. Their presence underscores FIFA’s commitment to promoting transparency and good governance in its member associations’ electoral processes.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has also deployed top officials, including Sarah Mukuna, Director of the Member Association Division, and Felix Majani, Director of Legal Affairs.
At the regional level, COSAFA has sent its Executive Director, Sue Destombes, along with Vice President and Chairman of Competitions Timothy Shongwe, who arrived in Zambia on Friday.

The AGM follows the successful conclusion of FAZ’s provincial elections, where councilors voted for new leadership across all ten provinces for the 2025-2029 term. The elected provincial chairpersons will automatically join the FAZ National Executive Committee, while four other officials from each province will serve as voting delegates at the national AGM.
