FC Schaffhausen’s Miguel Chaiwa Registers Unfortunate Own Goal in Swiss Challenge League

Zambian midfielder Miguel Chaiwa encountered a bittersweet moment as he opened his scoring account in the Swiss Challenge League with an own goal during FC Schaffhausen’s encounter against Neuchâtel Xamax FCS.

Despite Chaiwa’s commendable full match performance, his inadvertent own goal in the 25th minute handed Xamax the lead. Nevertheless, Schaffhausen managed to salvage a crucial equalizer just before halftime, ensuring a 1-1 draw and earning a valuable point.

Currently positioned second from the bottom in the league standings, Schaffhausen faces a challenging climb with only two victories in their last five outings. With just six games remaining in the season, Chaiwa and his teammates are determined to maximize their points in the upcoming matches and turn their fortunes around.
