FC MUZA and Power Dynamos have advanced to the next stages of their respective CAF competitions with impressive performances in the recent matches.
FC MUZA secured their spot in the second round of the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup after a convincing 3-0 victory against Cano Sport Academy of Equatorial Guinea in the second leg of the first round match. The Elegant Dynamites triumphed 4-1 on aggregate, earning them the opportunity to face Club Sportif Multidisciplinaire Diables Noirs of Congo in the next round. The upcoming fixture holds the key to securing a place in the group stages of Africa’s second-tier club competition. FC MUZA will start their campaign at home on the weekend of 15-17 September, followed by the second leg in Brazzaville on the weekend of 29 September – 1 October.
In another exciting development, Power Dynamos showcased their determination and skill in the 2023/24 CAF Champions League. Holding on to their 1-0 lead against African Stars of Namibia, Power Dynamos qualified for the second round with an aggregate score of 2-2. The Zambian champions are now set to face Simba Sports Club of Tanzania in the second round. The first leg of this crucial encounter will take place on the weekend of 15-17 September, followed by the away second leg fixture twelve days later.
