FAZ Urges Clubs To Embrace Digital Ticketing Solutions
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has urged clubs to digitalize their ticket sales to streamline the purchasing process and avoid long queues.
FAZ Media Manager Godfrey Chikumbi said the association has partnered with a local technology company to pilot online ticketing during this year’s ABSA Cup, as part of efforts to enhance operations.
Speaking to media, Chikumbi emphasized that online ticketing should be adopted widely, noting that FIFA and CAF regulations prohibit the sale of tickets at match venues.
He further disclosed that tickets for the FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup qualifier reverse fixture between Zambia and Rwanda will be sold exclusively online.
The move is expected to improve efficiency and fan experience while aligning with international football standards. By shifting to digital platforms.
FAZ aims to reduce congestion at stadiums and curb potential security risks associated with physical ticket sales, marking a significant step toward modernizing match-day operations in Zambian football.
