FAZ President and Chongwe Mayor Discuss Technical Centre Plans

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga’s visit to Chongwe District Mayor Chris Habeenzu marked a significant step forward in the development of the proposed FAZ Technical Centre.
The meeting, which included discussions on the potential benefits and impact of the center on the local community, highlighted the commitment of both the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) and the Chongwe District Council to promote sports development in the region.

During their discussions, Kamanga and Mayor Habeenzu explored various aspects of the proposed Technical Centre, including its facilities, infrastructure requirements, and the timeline for its establishment.
The Mayor reiterated the council’s full support for the project, emphasizing the positive effects it would have on youth development, job creation, and sports tourism in Chongwe.

The visit also provided an opportunity for the FAZ delegation to assess the readiness of the proposed site for the Technical Centre.
The team from the FAZ secretariat, working closely with local officials, conducted a thorough evaluation of the area to ensure that it meets the necessary criteria for the establishment of a world-class sports facility
