FAZ Corner: ZPL Announces 2024/2025 Fixtures and New Cups

The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) has announced the fixtures for the upcoming 2024/2025 MTN Super League and the Women’s Super-Division, generating excitement among football fans and players alike.

The fixtures’ release marks the beginning of what promises to be an action-packed season filled with competitive matches and thrilling performances.

During a well-attended media briefing at Football House, ZPL CEO Joseph Chimpampwe provided detailed insights into the upcoming season.

He highlighted the meticulous planning and coordination that went into finalizing the fixtures. “We are committed to delivering a well-organized and competitive league that showcases the best of Zambian football,” Chimpampwe stated.

The CEO also emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards and ensuring the smooth operation of both the men’s and women’s leagues.

In addition to the fixtures, the ZPL announced the introduction of two new cups to further enrich the football calendar.

These cups are designed to provide additional opportunities for teams to compete and for players to demonstrate their skills on a larger stage.

Chimpampwe expressed confidence that the new cups would enhance the overall football experience for fans and contribute to the development of the sport in Zambia.

The men’s and women’s leagues are both set to kick off on August 17, marking the start of a highly anticipated season.
