FAZ Central Province Division One Kick-Off Date Announced
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced that the Central Province Division One League for the 2024–2025 season will commence on the weekend of September 7 and 8, 2024. The fixtures, released by the Regional Secretariat, set the stage for what promises to be an exciting and competitive season.
This year’s league welcomes five newly promoted teams—Forest Myooye, Chikumbi Green Eagles, Liteta United, Kapiri Bullets, and Masansa United Football Clubs—who are expected to bring fresh energy and challenge the established order. These clubs are anticipated to make significant impacts, potentially shifting the dynamics of the league.
In a notable development, Machacha Soccer Academy, based in the Shibuyunji district, enters the league as new slot buyers, taking over from Syax Football Club. This marks a significant milestone for Machacha Soccer Academy, as they become the first team from Shibuyunji district to compete at this level under the Central Province FAZ banner. Their debut is highly anticipated, with fans eager to see the blend of talent and strategy they will bring, particularly at their home ground, Nampundwe Stadium.
The league will feature 18 clubs this season, including 12 teams from the previous campaign who are gearing up to defend their positions and contend for the championship. The competition is expected to be fierce, with all teams striving for the top spot in the league rankings, and a coveted promotion to the National Division One of the Zambian Premier League (ZPL) next season.
As the kick-off date approaches, excitement builds among players, coaches, and fans alike, all eager to witness the action and see who will rise to the occasion in this new season.
