Fashion Sakala Returns to Al-Fayha After AFCON, Eyes Clash With Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr

Fashion Sakala, the Zambian footballer, made a return to action for his Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha in a friendly against Emirates Club. Both teams are gearing up for the second round of their respective campaigns. The friendly resulted in a 1-0 victory for Al-Fayha, marking Sakala‘s first appearance since Zambia’s exit from the Africa Cup of Nations last month.

Despite Zambia’s disappointment in the AFCON group stage, Sakala has been a key player for Al-Fayha since joining from Rangers FC. In the first half of the league season, he emerged as the team’s top scorer with 7 goals and 3 assists. Sakala also made an impact on the continental stage, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists in the Asian Champions League group stage, helping his team qualify for the knockout rounds.

Looking ahead, Sakala faces an exciting challenge as he prepares to go head-to-head with his childhood idol, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the first leg of the AFC Champions League knockout stage on February 14th. Al-Fayha will host Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, aiming to overturn a 3-1 defeat from their last meeting. Despite the odds favoring Ronaldo‘s side, Sakala’s determination and recent form suggest he and his teammates will be looking for a favorable result on their home ground.
