Clement Mulenga Heads Forest Rangers’ List of Seven New Acquisitions
Forest Rangers, a Zambia Super League team, has bolstered their squad with the addition of seven new players in the January transfer window. Leading the list is midfielder Clement Mulenga, who joins the Ndola-based team from Kabwe Warriors, having previously impressed with Indeni.
Mulenga’s standout performance during the 2021/2022 Zambia Super League season, where he contributed to 11 goals (5 goals, 6 assists) for Indeni, makes him a valuable addition to Forest Rangers.
Joining Mulenga are goalkeeper Jackson Kakunta, Wasiu Oluwasegun from ZESCO United, and defender Nchimunya Chidima from Kitwe United. Forest Rangers’ official statement reads, “Forest Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce that they have acquired the services of seven (7) new players to enhance depth in the squad.”
Wasiu Oluwasegun Jimoh, the Nigerian striker, has signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with Forest Rangers from Zesco United, while Nchimunya Chidima has committed to a two-year contract. The team has also secured the services of experienced midfielder Enock Bwanga from Mufulira Wanderers.
Additionally, Forest Rangers have signed Tobias Chungu and Ian Sindaye from Aguila Stars and Shamuel Academy, respectively. Mulenga, Bwanga, Chungu, and Sindaye have all penned two-year contracts with the club.
Completing the new signings is goalkeeper Jackson Kakunta, who joins Forest Rangers on a seasonal loan from Red Arrows, having previously played for Power Dynamos and Napsa Stars.
