Chiyangi Begins Tenure at Nkwazi, Holds First Meeting with Players

Aggrey Chiyangi, the newly appointed head coach of Nkwazi Football Club, met with his players for the first time this morning.

Chiyangi’s appointment was officially announced on Thursday, following the departure of Dennis Makinka, who left the club to join Nkana Football as assistant to Ian Bakala.

The former Chipolopolo coach addressed his new squad ahead of their morning training session, marking the beginning of his tenure with the Zambia Police-sponsored team. Chiyangi has signed a two-year contract with Nkwazi.

Keegan Phiri will continue in his role as the first assistant coach, with Edward Kangwa serving as the second assistant, Signs Chibambo as the third assistant, and Samuel Ngukube as the goalkeeper trainer.

Chiyangi brings a wealth of experience to Nkwazi, having previously managed Zanaco, Nkana, and Green Eagles, among other Zambian clubs.

He has been without a club since May 2023, when he was dismissed by Nchanga Rangers after a series of poor results just five months into his tenure.
