The Zambia National Team’s preparations for the Ivory Coast 2023 Africa Cup of Nations have received a significant boost with the arrival of Lameck Banda, Frankie Musonda, and Gift Mphande. These three players have joined the 27-member squad called up by Avram Grant.
Gift Mphande, who plays in Israel, arrived in the morning, while Lameck Banda (Lecce) and Frankie Musonda (AYR United) joined at 13:00 hours (local time) in Taif.
With the inclusion of these players, Grant now has a complete squad for the upcoming training sessions in Saudi Arabia as the team gears up for the tournament.
In preparation for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, the Chipolopolo will engage in an international friendly against Cameroon on January 9. Zambia finds itself in Group F alongside Morocco, Tanzania, and Congo DR.
The Chipolopolo will kick off its AFCON campaign on January 17 against Congo DR, followed by a match against Tanzania four days later. The final group match will see Zambia facing the Atlas Lions of Morocco on January 24.
