Alex Ng’onga Makes Transfer to Lebanon
Zambian striker Alex “Bazo” Ng’onga has officially become a part of Lebanese top-flight club Tadamon Sour SC, as confirmed by the club.
The acquisition comes after successful negotiations between Tadamon Sour SC and the Congolese giants, TP Mazembe.
The former Nkana and Power Dynamos star has inked a two-year deal with the Middle Eastern club, according to reports from Zambian football transfer expert Wami Katanga. Ng’onga is joined by French striker Kévin Koubemba in bolstering the team’s lineup.
Notably, Ng’onga’s move to Mazembe followed a suspension by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). This disciplinary action was imposed after Ng’onga was caught on camera kicking a Supersport microphone during the Kitwe derby in 2022.
The ban, in accordance with Article 48 of the FAZ Disciplinary Code, sidelined him for the remainder of the season and also resulted in a K20,000 fine.
The club officially announced the signings of Kévin Koubemba and Alex Ngonga with a post emphasizing the development. The ceremony, attended by club president Hassan Fawaz and several board members, took place in the president’s office.
Kévin Koubemba, born in 1993 and previously associated with the French league “Nadi Lille” and other European leagues, is a striker.
On the other hand, Alex Ngonga, born in 1992, is a forward player and a member of both the Zambia National Football Team and TP Mazembe
