Patson Daka Will Not Be Taking Part in At least One International Match Over The Upcoming Break

The Zambia national team could be without influential striker Patson Daka, midfielder Enock Mwepu when they face Mauritania and Tunisia in back-to-back Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

The Premier League has announced that they will not be releasing players for international fixtures in red list countries in next month’s international break.

However, following ‘extensive discussions with both the FA and the England government, the Premier League have announced that they will not be releasing players for international duty in red list countries.

Zambia appears on the list of countries where players would have to hotel quarantine for 10 days on their return to England.

Similar situation for both Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka, who will miss Zambia’s home clash vs Tunisia, but it is not clear if he would be allowed to travel to non-red listed Mauritania for the away clash on Friday, September 3.
