Hamansenya Seals Move To Spain’s Leganes

A dream has become reality for young Zambian defender David Hamansenya, who has been signed by Spanish second-division side CD Leganés.
The 18-year-old starlet from the Shamuel Soccer Academy, a key member of Zambia’s U-20 national team, has penned his first professional contract.
“I am very happy… this is a dream come true for me,” Hamansenya stated. He extended his gratitude to Shamuel Academy owner Evans Kangwa and agent Nir Karin, saying, “I will forever be grateful to them.”
His rapid rise through Zambia’s youth ranks—from the U-15s to the U-20s—now culminates in a move to European football.
Although he received a senior-team call-up for the CHAN tournament, its postponement allowed him to complete his transfer to Spain before making his national team debut.
