Zambia U20 defender Mathews Banda has called on fans to remain optimistic, expressing strong belief in the team’s ability to secure a place at the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup.

The Junior Chipolopolo have been drawn in Group A of the TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Egypt 2025, where they will face hosts Egypt, South Africa, Tanzania, and Sierra Leone. The tournament, set to take place from 27 April to 18 May 2025, will determine Africa’s representatives at the global youth showcase.

Banda’s message underscores the team’s determination to deliver strong performances and clinch a coveted World Cup berth.
