Copper Queens Boosted by Ochumba’s Arrival Ahead Of Key Matches

Changchun WFC attacking midfielder Ochumba Oseke Lubanji has joined the Copper Queens camp ahead of the 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament in China.
Lubanji’s arrival brings the squad to 21 players, with only Penelope Mulubwa, Avell Chitundu and Maweta Chilenga expected to arrive later today to complete the 24-member squad.
Lubanji recently made a move to China from Eden University Women’s Super League side Red Arrows.
The Copper Queens will kick off their tournament campaign on Saturday, 5 April against 47th world-ranked Thailand at 13h35 CAT at the Yongchuan Sports Centre Stadium.
Before that, the tournament will open with hosts China PR facing Uzbekistan at 09h30 CAT.
The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) bronze medalists are using the tournament in Yongchuan district to prepare for this year’s WAFCON that will be held in July this year.
