Kangwa and Sakala Set for Thursday Showdown
Klings Kangwa and his new Hapoel Be’er Sheva teammates are in the Czech Republic for a UEFA Conference League match.
Be’er Sheva arrived in the Central European country on Monday, preparing for Thursday’s encounter.
The Israeli side advanced to the third round after defeating Bulgarian club Cherno More 2-1 on aggregate.
Kangwa will face his Chipolopolo teammate Benson Sakala, who plays for Czech outfit Mladá Boleslav.
The winner of this match will face the victor between Paksi FC of Hungary and FK Mornar of Montenegro in the playoff round.
The match between Mladá Boleslav and Hapoel Be’er Sheva will take place at the 5,000-seat Lokotrans Arena.
Kangwa recently signed a four-year contract with Be’er Sheva, joining from Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade.
This marks his second stint with the Israeli club, having previously played for their youth team in the 2017/18 season, where he scored nine goals.
Kangwa is no stranger to European elite competitions, having participated in both the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
