FIFA President Gianni Infantino Set To Zambia
FIFA President Gianni Infantino is scheduled to visit Zambia next week. Infantino will come in the country on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The Football Association of Zambia’s General Secretary, Reuben Kamanga, announced Infantino’s visit via the FAZ media channel.
According to Kamanga, this is the first time a FIFA President has visited Zambia in more than 21 years. Kamanga stated that the FIFA President will visit Zambia to meet with the football association and senior officials to discuss various areas of collaboration and inspect the various FIFA-funded infrastructures, with additional information to be revealed during his visit.
According to Kamanga, the FIFA President has also scheduled time to meet with families affected by the Gabon flight catastrophe and participate in the remembrance ceremony at the National Heroes Stadium.
He stated that FAZ has planned an exhibition match for the Under 15 Women’s squad on June 13th, 2024, at the National Heroes Stadium, where the President will witness the tremendous potential and evolution of Zambian women’s football.
