Daka Makes Late Appearance as Leicester Draw Against England
Watson Daka came off the bench late in the game on Saturday as Leicester City fought back to secure a 2-2 draw against Hull City. Despite Jamie Vardy scoring twice for the Sky Bet Championship leaders at MKM Stadium, the Foxes were unable to secure a win.
Zambian forward Daka entered the game in the 86th minute, replacing the two-goal hero Jamie Vardy. Hull City’s midfielder Fábio Carvalho had an early penalty saved by Mads Hermansen, but he later managed to put the hosts in the lead on 16 minutes.
Vardy equalized with a penalty in the 31st minute, but Anass Zaroury restored Hull’s lead on the hour mark. However, Vardy found the net again less than two minutes later to secure a point for Leicester.
The draw puts Enzo Maresca’s side on 82 points with nine games remaining, three points ahead of second-placed Leeds United and four clear of Ipswich Town in third place.
Leicester City now have a break from Sky Bet Championship fixtures and will face Chelsea in the FA Cup next weekend
