Youth Olympic Games 400m silver medalist Kennedy Luchembe, along with regional 100m silver medalist Edna Ngandula, 400m athlete Abigail Sepiso, and a cohort of sixteen other talented athletes have officially qualified for this year’s African Games in Ghana.

The athletes demonstrated their prowess at the ongoing All Comers Meet athletics competitions held at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Notably, Ngandu achieved her personal best time of 11.93 seconds, while Sepiso clocked in at 54.29 seconds.

These athletes now join Zambia’s elite track stars, including reigning Commonwealth champion Muzala Samukonga, Rhoda Njobvu, Quincy Malekani, and Nidy Mingilish, who secured their spots in the previous ACM competition.

The next All Comers Meet Competition is scheduled for February 25, 2024, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. This event promises to showcase more talent and provide an opportunity for athletes to further solidify their qualifications for the African Games.
