Grant Denies Recent Allegations Against FAZ
In 50 years of coaching, I have consistently maintained a direct approach in addressing concerns without resorting to third-party communication, and this practice is not about to change. Recent reports suggesting that I referred to the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) hierarchy as ‘inexperienced’ are inaccurate.
The ZamFoot Crew previously disclosed that I contemplated resigning due to subpar travel arrangements, a matter I discussed internally with the FAZ. Subsequently, an article from Israel emerged, attributing statements to me regarding the FAZ’s alleged inexperience.
In response to these claims, I wish to clarify that I adhere to the principle of addressing grievances directly with the involved parties, as I have throughout my 50-year coaching career. I emphasize that no statement has been made by me to any media outlet. During our post-tournament discussions with the FAZ, we engaged in a constructive and respectful manner, fostering a positive atmosphere.
I urge against the use of my name to create discord between myself and the FAZ or the Zambian people. My commitment remains steadfast in maintaining open and direct communication to resolve any issues that may arise.
