Chaiwa Senior Urges Inclusion of Young Talent in Chipolopolo Squad
Christopher Chaiwa, the father of Chipolopolo Defensive Midfielder Miguel Chaiwa, has advocated for the inclusion of younger players in the national football team’s senior squad. He believes that integrating fresh talent can bring diversity to the team and serve as inspiration for them to excel.
According to a report by the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC), Mr. Chaiwa pointed to his son’s impressive performance at the Africa Cup of Nations as an example of the potential that younger players bring to the squad.
Despite Zambia’s exit in the group stage of the tournament, Mr. Chaiwa expressed optimism about the team’s future. He believes that, with the inclusion of younger talent, Zambia can make a recovery in future tournaments and secure qualification for the World Cup.
The infusion of new blood into the team is seen as a way to build a stronger and more competitive national squad.
