Tanzania Seeks Redemption in Morocco
The Tanzanian Football Federation, TFF, has named Hemed Suleiman Morocco as their interim coach. Morocco led his first training session on Friday night as the Taifa Stars prepared for the upcoming Tanganyika Derby against Zambia on Sunday.
The decision to appoint Morocco followed the dismissal of the national team coach, Adel Amrouche, by the TFF on Friday. Amrouche faced an 8-match ban and a $10,000 fine from CAF, as he asserted that Morocco had undue influence over African football and match officials.
In their Group F opening match, Tanzania experienced a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Morocco. Zambia, entering Sunday’s match with one point, secured a 1-1 draw against DR Congo on Wednesday
