The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has confirmed that Coach Avram Grant is set to reveal the 27-player squad for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) before January 1st. The announcement will precede the team’s departure for Saudi Arabia, where they will undergo final preparations for the continental tournament.

In Lusaka, the AFCON preparations under Coach Avram Grant are reaching their peak, with the team showcasing remarkable synchronization during their training sessions at the National Heroes Stadium. The squad is expected to be based in Jeddah and is strategically planning friendlies against Cameroon and another team to further intensify their preparations.

Notable absentees from the current training sessions include key players Patson Daka and Fashion Sakala, who are still held up by club commitments but are expected to join the national team soon.

Zambia has been drawn into Group F for the AFCON tournament, alongside Morocco, Congo DR, and Tanzania. Their campaign is scheduled to commence on January 17 in San Pedro against Congo.
