Joseph Sabobo Banda, the promising young football talent from Zambia, is embarking on a significant journey to Switzerland to finalize his contract with Zurich FC. The move comes after Banda impressed the Swiss club’s youth team with his skills on the field.
Banda’s path to Zurich faced a hurdle due to age restrictions, as he was under 18 when initially noticed by the Swiss club. To navigate this, Zurich FC loaned him to Atletico Lusaka, a national division one side, and subsequently to Nkwazi Football Club in the Zambian super league. Now, having turned 18 in December, Banda is ready to officially seal the deal with Zurich FC.
Known for his exceptional passing abilities and one-on-one maneuvering skills, Banda is expected to bring valuable qualities to Zurich FC. The club aims to compete with arch-rival BSC Young Boys, which also features Zambian talent in 19-year-old Miguel Chaiwa.
