REIZ Arena Unveiled as New Name for Woodlands Stadium
In a significant development, Woodlands Stadium, the home ground of National Division One side City of Lusaka, has undergone a name change and is now officially known as REIZ Arena. The naming rights were sold by City of Lusaka to Real Estate Investment Zambia (REIZ) Limited in a deal that will last for the next five years.
The renaming ceremony took place on Monday evening, with representatives from both City of Lusaka Football Club and REIZ Limited present for the signing ceremony. The financial details of the naming rights agreement were not disclosed.
REIZ Plc Director Muna Hantuba expressed excitement about the partnership and emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting City of Lusaka as they strive to regain a position in the Super League. Hantuba stated, “We are excited to be part of the City of Lusaka Football Club. We are in business and we saw the opportunity to advertise our services by partnering with the club. The sponsorship package is part of our corporate social responsibility of ploughing back into the community.”
