Kansanshi Dynamos Announce Three Departures Ahead of New Season

Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has confirmed the departure of three players as the club continues reshaping its squad ahead of the start of the 2026 Transitional League.

Leading goalscorer Kalonji Mwepu will leave the Fearless Mabanga Boys following the expiry of his contract, having opted not to extend his stay with the club. Mwepu departs after two successful seasons, finishing as Kansanshi Dynamos’ top scorer in both campaigns and playing a key role in the team’s attacking fortunes.

The club has also confirmed that Brian Mwila and Joseph Chomba will move on after their contracts came to an end. Mwila spent one season with Kansanshi Dynamos, while left-back Chomba served the club for two seasons, contributing his experience and commitment throughout his time at the North-Western Province outfit.

Meanwhile, Kansanshi Dynamos has announced that right-back Cornelius Mwendela will continue his development after extending his loan spell with National League side Chambishi FC for the duration of the 2026 Transitional League.

The club expressed its gratitude to Kalonji Mwepu, Brian Mwila, Joseph Chomba and Cornelius Mwendela for their professionalism, dedication and contributions during their time with Kansanshi Dynamos, wishing each player success in the next stage of their careers.

As preparations for the new campaign gather momentum, Kansanshi Dynamos says work is ongoing to strengthen the squad, with announcements regarding new signings expected once all transfer processes have been completed.
