Ghana has escalated the visa denial of Black Stars midfielder Thomas Partey by Canada to the highest diplomatic level, as urgent efforts continue to resolve the matter ahead of the team’s FIFA World Cup opener against Panama.

Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa confirmed that no effort will be spared in ensuring a positive outcome for the player and the national team.

The development comes at a crucial moment for Ghana, with Partey considered an important figure in the Black Stars squad as they prepare to begin their World Cup campaign.
