Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Dragged To court for Failing to pay Accommodation In Ndola

A certain Lodge has dragged the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) to court for failing to pay over K200,000 for accommodation and meals it provided officials during the under-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Michaelangelo Executive Lodge Limited, based in Ndola, sued the Attorney General, who is representative of FAZ in the Ndola High Court, for its failure to pay for accommodation and meals during the matches at Levy Mwanawasa in 2017.

In a statement of claim filed in the Ndola High Court registry, the lodge states that on February 23, 2017, it provided hospitality services, namely accommodation and meals, to various officials, among them match referees, at the request of FAZ, which falls under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The lodge further submit that it issued to the Ministry of Youth and Sports an invoice amounting to K252,374 for accommodation and meals it provided to match officials.
