Carol Kanyemba Says Copper Princesses Still Have 90 Minutes To Play, Ahead of the Next Match In Congo
Zambia Under-17 Women’s National Team coach Carol Kanyemba has urged her players to remain focused despite the Copper Princesses’ dominant 5-0 victory over DR Congo in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers. Kanyemba stressed that the job is not yet done, reminding the team that there are still “90 minutes to play” ahead of the return leg in Congo.
The coach revealed that the technical bench is continuing to mentor the players both physically and emotionally as they prepare for the crucial second leg encounter. Kanyemba emphasized the importance of staying disciplined and maintaining the same determination, noting that every match requires full concentration regardless of the first-leg result.
Kanyemba also shared that qualifying for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup would be a major achievement in her coaching career. She expressed confidence in the squad’s ability to finish the task in Congo and secure Zambia’s place on the global stage.
